The league so far

The premier league looked to be wrapped up by Manchester City with them being at the top for a few weeks and a good number of points clear of the other teams, however, this has recently changed with Manchester City now online being 3 points ahead of rivals Liverpool and Chelsea are only 10 points behind them. With the gap now being closed it will be an exciting finish to the season with Manchester City still being the favourites to win the league, but with Liverpool and Chelsea chasing them for the title only time will tell who comes out on top.

This season has been an interesting one so far with managers being sacked and new managers coming to the league, the relegation battle is underway with Everton, Leeds and Burnley looking to try and avoid relegation along with Watford and Norwich who are currently bottom of the league. There are still plenty of games available to avoid relegation and only time will tell who will get relegated come to the end of the season, but the teams down the bottom end of the table need to find some form quickly if they want to stay in the premier league for another season.

Transfer windows

The summer transfer window is not far off and this one will be an interesting one with teams looking to improve their squads to either push for the title, compete for a place in Europe or to avoid relegation. Chelsea has just been handed another transfer ban and they looked set to have a 200m war chest to spend on new players with this now not being the case unless things change before the window opens.

The previous winter window saw some good business being done with Newcastle improving their squad by them spending over 100m on a few new players which have helped to get them out of the relegation zone and their squad form has improved a lot in recent games.

It will be an interesting end to the season with it being one of the most competitive premier league seasons in recent years.
