A self-respecting trip to Thailand cannot be defined as such until, after a few days in Bangkok and north of the country between temples and forests, one does not take a flight to cool off in the transparent waters further south. What are the most beautiful beaches in Thailand? Which must be included in a travel itinerary to tell?
It’s really hard to choose, but we have tried it … Here is our ranking …
1. Maya Beach, Phi Phi Island
Known by all for the film The Beach, where we find a rebel and young Leonardo di Caprio, this strip of white land and transparent sea has no equal in the vicinity. Dotted with the typical Thai boats, Maya Beach is a true natural paradise, to be seen in the early morning, when the hordes of tourists have not yet arrived to invade it.
And it is mass tourism that is a problem: the waste and the lack of care of the people towards this beach, forced the Thai government to close it until a later date. We hope it is only a temporary situation and that, during your stay, you can fully enjoy it.
2. Lame Tong Beach, Phi Phi Island
If Maya Beach is not accessible, you can console yourself with Laem Tong Beach, to the north. Like the whole island, even here one moves on foot. Relax on the beach and alternate rest and discovery of the incredible, colorful and inhabited seabed with curious little fish.
3. Nai Harn Beach, Phuket
Do you dream of an uncrowded beach, to enjoy the nature that surrounds you to the fullest? Fine, Nai Harn is the one for you. Overlooking the Andaman Sea, the coast is quiet and relaxed but with all the comforts of the hotel: hotels, accommodation facilities and restaurants for refreshment.
4. Freedom Beach, Phuket
If you are looking for something even more wild and unspoiled, Freedom Beach will fully satisfy your expectations. It is one of the most complex beaches to reach in Phuket: you arrive or rent a boat or after a jungle trek. The result? A quiet and peaceful place, unlike other places on the island.

5. Similan Islands
The Similian Islands are real Thai gems, they are part of a natural park and are composed of nine islands off the coast of Phuket, which you can reach by booking one of the many guided excursions. Here is the perfect place for those who snorkel and dive: the waters that bathe these islands are crowded with corals and fish to be discovered.
6. Haad Rin, Ko Pha Ngan
Here is the party! For those who do not like deserted beaches and aspire to beach parties, music and dancing until the early morning light, Haad Rin is your destination. Plan the trip so that it happens at the Full Moon Party, which is celebrated once a month when there is a full moon. If you have no problems at night, a little foresight during the day: it is precisely here that the largest number of jellyfish in all of Thailand are present. Eyes open in the water J
7. Kantiang Bay, Koh Lanta
A landscape of cliffs and an incredible variety of fish will welcome you to Kantiang Beach, in the southern part of Koh Lanta. The town is very quiet due to the fact that the facilities are few: you should book in advance if you want to stay here.

8. Sunrise Beach, Ko Lipe
Does the name of this beach suggest anything to you? Well, let’s say that here you can admire the most beautiful sunrise in all of Thailand. Actually the whole island of Ko Lipe is characterized by wonderful beaches, so be sure to visit it during your trip. To get to the island you need to take a flight from Bangkok to Hat Yai, go to the port of Pak Bara, to embark on one of the island’s numerous ferries.
9. Railay Bay, Krabi
Again cliffs, again tropical trees and transparent waters. Relax in the white beach of Railay Bay and, if you are particularly brave, climb the cliffs of the place to admire the beautiful panorama from above.
10. Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
Among the many beaches of Koh Samui, Lamai is the quietest (we want to talk about Cheweng?). The place is in agreement with everyone, those in search of relaxation and those who love the beach life a little more active: kayaking, surfing and evenings on the beach will be able to make even the most demanding tourists agree. Here the dives are a little less interesting than in the rest of Thailand, keep this in mind when planning your trip.
