How to protect your mobile phone battery

Mobile phones have become an important part of our lives and once you have purchased a new phone from a Vodafone Tullamore company like King Communications, you will want to make sure that you can use it for as long as possible. Mobile phone batteries are designed to last a long time but there are a number of things that you can do to help prolong the batteries lifespan.

Here are a few quick tips for you.

  1. Charge them every night. It’s not a good idea to run the battery down to its lowest point or even so it’s battery runs dry. It takes longer, and more electricity, to get back up to charge and it greatly contributes to the battery losing its ability to stay charged for longer.
  2. Never use it when it’s plugged into a charging source. When a phone is charging, that’s all it really wants to focus on so that it can get back up to full capacity. It’s also dangerous to try and use apps at the same time.

  1. Don’t over charge the phone. You don’t need to get it all the way up to 100% and beyond. Once it reaches its limit, or better still thereabouts, take it off charge.
  2. You don’t need to charge it quickly. Faster charging might be time saving but it does the battery no favours, especially if it’s an older phone.

The thing to remember is that Lithium-Ion batteries are great but without care they will degrade faster than you might want them too.
